Tippy Brooke writes in the space where desire is treated as seriously as grief, power, identity, and the complicated ways people wound and transform one another. Her novels offer the emotional intensity and erotic charge of romance alongside psychological depth, moral complexity, and an unsentimental understanding of love. The author of numerous novels, she has lived and written across the country, gathering the kind of experience that makes fictional people feel dangerously real.

She spends time in estate sales, auction houses, and the back rooms of small museums, looking for art that doesn’t always get noticed. Sometimes it’s a painting with no attribution, sometimes a photograph tucked behind a stack of frames nobody bothered to sort through. She has a particular soft spot for the abstract, and a genuinely embarrassing amount of money spent on things with no resale value whatsoever.

Photography and film round out the rest of her attention. She owns several cameras she does not know how to use correctly.

She holds a BFA in Creative Writing, and her work has appeared in numerous literary and journalism publications.  She currently lives in the Pacific Northwest.
